ABOUT US

We are a small family owned independent opticians based in the centre of Blyth.  We were founded in 1946 so we hope and believe we are doing something right.  As Mr Preston has now retired we are currently run by the Steven brothers, Mark and Christopher, who come from a long line of Optometrists stretching back to their Great-Grandfather, who owned an Opticians in North Shields.  They look forward to testing your eyes.

We believe that glasses are much more than a functional item to help you see.  We believe they are the first thing people notice when they look at you, before your clothes or shoes and, as such, should be the best thing about you. 

 

We believe in quality in everything we do from using the best frames from Europe to using the best lenses, whether it is for our Varifocals or our single vision lenses, which is why we use Carl Zeiss lenses, famous for producing some of the best lenses in the world.
