Your Audiology Journey
by Charlotte Gray (Head of Audiology)

We understand that taking the first step towards better hearing can feel like a big decision.
That’s why we’ve designed a simple, supportive process to guide you from your first visit through to long-term hearing care.
1. Initial Assessment
Your journey begins with a thorough initial assessment.
• Ear health check: We start by examining the health of your ears and checking for any wax build-up. If wax is present, we can arrange safe removal before continuing.
• Case history: We’ll take some time to learn more about you- your general health, lifestyle, hearing goals, and what’s brought you in.
• Hearing test: Once your ears are clear, we’ll perform a comprehensive hearing test to assess your hearing levels across different frequencies.
• Results and discussion: We’ll explain your results in detail and answer any questions you may have. If a hearing loss is identified, we’ll talk through the best solutions for you.
2. Hearing Aid Demonstration and Options
If hearing aids are recommended, we can provide a live demonstration so you can experience how they sound and feel.
We’ll also:
• Discuss the different hearing aid styles and technology levels available
• Review pricing and payment options (our hearing aids can be paid for in (up to) 12 monthly installments or, if you prefer, they can be paid for in full)
• Help you make an informed choice that fits both your hearing needs and budget
3. Hearing Aid Fitting
Once you’ve chosen your hearing aids, we’ll schedule your fitting appointment.
During this visit, we will:
• Program your hearing aids to match your unique hearing prescription
• Guide you through how to insert, remove, clean, and charge your hearing aids
• Make sure you’re comfortable with their use before you leave
4. Two-week Follow Up
After two weeks, we’ll invite you back for a follow-up appointment.
This is a chance to:
• Check how you’re getting on with your new hearing aids
• Fine-tune the settings if needed
• Go over anything you’re unsure about, so you feel confident and supported
• Decide if you are happy to continue with hearing aids or would prefer to take advantage of our no-fuss refund
5. Ongoing Care and Annual Reviews
Your hearing journey doesn’t end there. We’ll continue to care for your hearing with annual recall appointments.
At these visits, we’ll:
• Re-test your hearing
• Check your hearing aids are working at their best
• Update the settings if your hearing has changed
Our goal is to help you hear clearly, comfortably, and confidently, every step of the way
